The base of the paperweight is done with black slate with Seven (7) inset and well executed micro-mosaics of vignettes of Ancient Roman Monuments. Hard Stone was used throughout. The detail it BEAUTIFUL....... Paperweight measures 6 1/4" Wide x 4 1/2" Tall x 1/2" Deep. The mosaic scenes are incredible.........color still sharp, no tiles missing.
