Sterling and Brass Opera Glasses with Handle and Case.

Circa: Later 19th Century,  Paris, France.

Opera glasses measure  4 1/4 ” wide, and  2 1/2 ” long extending   to   3  5/16 “.

Diameter of glass 1 1/2 ”  and  1 “.

The front of the bridge  is engraved ” F To M  Sept,  17_”89 “.

Decoration in theatrical figures, plumes and flowers.

Stamped around the bezel of the glass   ” LE PERT FT PARIS “.

The handle is made of gold overlay with mother of pearl.

The handle measures 7 1/2 ” open,  4 1/2 ” closed.

The handle fits on the bar on the glasses when the glasses are extended.

Glasses and handle are in fabulous condition for it’s age.

The black leather , silk interior case measures 4 3/4 ” wide x  3 ” Ht   x  2 ” in depth.

The top handle is missing and  on one side of the case,  the seam is separating.

Old world piece.

Wear commensurate with age and use.
